WILD RAMP SEA SALT — 2 OZ
Wild‑Foraged Ramp Sea Salt — 2 oz
What It Is
This small‑batch seasoning blends wild Appalachian ramps (Allium tricoccum) with a clean, mineral‑rich sea salt to create a bright, savory finishing salt with unmistakable mountain character. Ramps have an incredibly short spring season and are one of the most beloved — and most carefully protected — wild foods in our region.
We harvest only from healthy patches, taking single leaves and leaving the bulbs so the plants can return year after year. Many of our ramps come from private land with permission, ensuring sustainable, respectful foraging.
Flavor Profile
Bold, garlicky, and deeply aromatic with a green, spring‑bright bite.
A little goes a long way — this salt captures the essence of ramp season in every pinch.
How to Use
Sprinkle on eggs, omelets, and breakfast dishes
Finish roasted potatoes, vegetables, and root crops
Add to soups, stews, and broths for a springtime lift
Season meats, poultry, and fish
Fold into dips, compound butters, and cream‑based sauces
Perfect anywhere you’d use garlic salt — but want something wilder and more vibrant
Important Notes
Start small. Ramps are naturally strong and concentrated; a pinch is often enough.
Short season. This salt is made only when ramps are in season — once it’s gone, it’s gone until next spring.
Sustainably harvested. We take only single leaves from each plant and leave the bulbs intact to protect future growth.
Wild‑Foraged Quality
Our ramps are gathered responsibly from hardwood forests throughout Appalachia, where they grow in rich, shaded soil along hillsides and creek bottoms. Because they’re wild‑foraged — not cultivated — each batch reflects the forest it comes from: clean air, cool spring rains, and the deep woodland ecology of the Blue Ridge.
No fillers. No artificial flavors. Just wild ramps and sea salt.
Available Size
2 oz jar
Ingredients
Sea salt, wild‑foraged ramps (Allium tricoccum).
